NORTH OTAGO PIG HUNTING COMPLETION WEIGH IN AND PRIZE GIVING.
“LIFE IS ONE GRAND, SWEET SONG,
SO START THE MUSIC”
Ronald Reagan

We have Karaoke every Friday night from 8:30pm to 12:00pm. Our sound system is loud and proud and our Karaoke is computer driven with a huge range of country, classic and some modern music.

We are always looking for musicians and friendly talented folk to add to our jam sessions, karaoke battles and music evenings if you can play it or sing it we can listen.

We have worked hard to make Purton’s North Otago’s home of Country Music and we have had the honour of hosting a raft of incredibly talented local and overseas country musicians. However, saying that we have also hosted some of New Zealand’s top rock bands.

We have a fantastic stage, lighting and sound system and we even have musical instruments available for those musicians who are travelling light and need a musical fix.

On New Year’s Eve we run our Karaoke all night. We offer an old fashioned night of fun and festivities where Auld Lange Sine and the Hokey Pokey are compulsory. We even give you supper!

Every New Year’s Day we host our very own Country Music Show. This starts at 9:30am and goes until late. We have a great band and a BIG BLACKBOARD. Everyone is welcome. There is plenty of room for caravans and motor homes to park up.

For a list of what’s on please check our events calendar.

"Took a while to get around to this but needed to say what a fun gig I had at the tavern a few weeks back. Having played in over 20 countries worldwide it is always good to find and work with professional operators and Helen and Stephen are certainly that. A truly warm, well set up entertainment venue that I hope the people of the area and beyond continue to support. Believe me these places are few and far between in this country so don`t lose it. I had a lot of fun with the folks who came to my show and looking forward to meeting you all again later in the year with a different music program and some new comedy.
Thanks to Michael for a video record of the show and thanks for your marvellous hospitality Helen and Stephen
